sanno molto di già strasentito e un po' fuori tempo... sinceramente quando sento queste cose mi chiedo "perché devo ascoltare qualcosa di già fatto e meglio da altri tempo fa?"

The Highland Community Players, who made waves last year with an elementary-age tribute to David Lynch films, are now at work at their most ambitious production yet: a gritty western entitled The Bully, The Liar and the Thief. The play will include the talents of nearly fifty 4th, 5th and 6th grade-age actors and stage crew from Milwaukee’s west side. With this production, the Players hope to challenge their audience towards deeper conversation about how the labels children receive from adults can often lead to self-fulfilling prophecies.

The plot centers on a soft-spoken youth named Robert Johnson, who arrives to the town of Canaan hoping for further opportunities. Instead, Robert is quickly labeled a “bully” by the authorities and becomes “Public Enemy #1” throughout the land. His only hope lies in teaming up with two other outlaws: a liar named Charley Patton and a thief named Elvie Thomas. Together, these three outlaws must find a way to win their rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in the face of a community that sees them only as criminals.
